Settings of your graphics card? 16-bit vs. 256 colours or something like
that? ;-)
Also, there is a Display Properties setting called "Smooth edges of
screen fonts" (on Windows 2000) that you also might want to enable.
Right-click on the desktop of the Windows 2000 system and select
properties, go to the Effects tab, etc.
