Hi all --

Delphi is a wonderful language--in fact, I can't figure out why anyone would
choose C++ when Delphi is around! However, it's hard to find an instructor
to help. I'd really love to take an organized class--something at the
intermediate/advanced beginner level. (I've got the basics down pat--I don't
need to be told how to set up Delphi, and I don't need to make projects
converting Celsius to Fahrenheit :-)

These classes don't seem to exist. I've looked for face-to-face and online
classes teaching Delphi, and I can't find anything (other than some
expensive multi-day workshops in cities far away from me, and one equally
expensive online class for beginners in S. Africa). This is where one or
more of you folks may come in.

Anyone out there interested in setting up an online class in Delphi
programming? It's not necessarily the model to follow, but take a look at
John Smiley's web site for an idea of how it might go (www.johnsmiley.com).
You'd have some initial work to set things up, but after having taught a
class once or twice you'd be in a position to continue teaching it with much
less time and effort.

If you're interested, reply to the group. Perhaps you can start to get a
sense of how much people would be willing to pay for, say, a ten or twelve
week course. If that's too daunting, consider even a six week course
(covering less, of course). If you've written a book, your book could be the
course's text. ... I won't discuss possibilities further now; let's see how
much interest exists.

However, if there is interest, I'd even be willing to help someone a little
bit getting set up--perhaps as a resource to bounce ideas off of. I'm a
Delphi hobbyist, but a professional educator. ... who's in search of a good
intermediate/advance beginner online Delphi class :-)

Thanks -- Al C
