I'm still unable to Post to any of the Borland newsgroups. I've
tried setting up accounts directly via 'newsgroups.borland.com' as well as
thru my isp's news services via
'news.east.earthlink.net' with the same results. An error reading like
this:
Outlook Express could not post your message. Subject 'D2006 options',
Account: 'news.east.earthlink.net', Server: 'news.earthlink.net', Protocol:
NNTP, Server Response: '440 Posting Not Allowed', Port: 119, Secure(SSL):
No, Server Error: 440, Error Number: 0x800CCCA9
I've never had this problem using OutLook express before, and the
ONLY accounts I do use it for are newsgroups. I use OutLook XP Pro for
e-mail. Any ideas will be appreciated!
Next, I'm having great difficulty with creating and using templates
in D2006. It used to be that you would enter the characters representing
the name of the template, such as 'bg' for a begin...end pair, then click
Shift + Space to make it appear in the editor. No it seems some of them
work when I click Ctrl + Space and others don't work at all! Then in trying
to create new ones specifically for Delphi Win32, I click on the list named
Delphi in the Templates Viewer and click New. A template sheet opens up in
the editor formatted in xml which I enter my template as expanded, but
there's no way of telling it where the cursor should go when it's used, and
it always saves under an empty Topic name in the Templates Viewer, thus
there seems to be no way of calling it again! Any help appreciated!
Finally, It seems that when you add event procedures to a file by
double-clicking the event or an action it is handled by, that they are added
in the implementation section alphabetically while in the Interface section
are simply added one atop the next, like adding to a queue! This I don't
like and what my interfaces and their code implementations to be in the
exact same order! Does anyone know a way of changing this default
behavior?
