I would suggest taking the time to read thru the posts on this
subject in the Borland IDE newsgroup. There are a number of different
solutions possible depending upon your system configuration. One of these
is to turn off 'Together', however you must also rename the appropriate file
and/or remove a registry setting to make this work well. Full instructions
can be found there as well.
On my own system which has 1 gig of ram and a dual-core Pentium,
I've no problems in this area whatsoever, so I believe they may have fudged
quite a bit on the necessary machine specs!

Subject: D2006 editing code problems
Hi guys,
I just installed D2006 and i'm having a problem editing my project code.
Editing is disasterously SLOW!!! Almost to the
point of unuseability and is extremly frustrating. Typed characters don't
show up on the edit screen for several seconds and sometimes whole IDE
freezes. Definately, the problem is in my source file, the only file open,
is about 1,5M (45,000k lines of code).
Anyone have any knowledge as to what the problem(s) might be?
Cheers
Dejan
