Hi David, The link to disabling that stupid UAC idiot was the final thing to really help me out with my VISTA system. I use a router on the front end of my network so that I'm invisible to the rest of the world. I have mcAfee running watching over my shoulder. I really didn't need Vista telling me that my Alibre Design or Protel 99SE or Borland D5 was a program that wasn't certified and might be a virus every time I run it.
Haven't had or needed that feature for the last 20 years. Don't want it for the next. With it disabled I don't really see that much difference between it and XP.
