I'm trying to get the TMediaPlayer component to play AVI files. I have no problems with WMV and MPEG videos but AVI doesn't want to work.
For example, Delphi 7 comes with a very short video named cool.avi in the Program Files\Borland\Delphi7\Demos\CoolStuf folder. This plays in Windows Media Player but in TMediaPlayer it says "The MCI device you are using does not support the specified command" when attempting to open it. The DeviceType property is set to dtAutoSelect but I've tried dtAVIVideo with no success. I know there are other better video components out there but I don't have time to invest in them. Any ideas?
