Early versions of Delphi came with a reduced feature version of Installshield, called Installshield Express I recall.
But I then discovered Jordan Russell's Innosetup, which is much better and completely free (you can donate, of course). It has been updated over the years and I think you will find it does everything you need. I strongly recommend it - see http://www.jrsoftware.org/isinfo.php - Brendan Blake. -----Original Message----- From: Delphi [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Rich Cooper Sent: 01 June 2014 07:30 To: 'Moderated List for the Discussion of Delphi Programming excluding Database-related topics' Subject: RE: Question about using the Delphi Deployment tool I used Delphi 1, 3, 5 and 7 for program deployment years ago. I generated a "Setup.exe" package and emailed it to users, who successfully installed my program and its data source files on their computer. I don't remember the name of that tool which packaged the program, files, and so forth into a single "Setup.exe". Does anyone remember the name of that program?" Is it still around somewhere? It did the job easily then. I can't even find my Delphi 7 DVD to install Delphi 7 any more! -Rich Sincerely, Rich Cooper EnglishLogicKernel.com Rich AT EnglishLogicKernel DOT com 9 4 9 \ 5 2 5 - 5 7 1 2 _______________________________________________ Delphi mailing list [email protected] http://lists.elists.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/delphi _______________________________________________ Delphi mailing list [email protected] http://lists.elists.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/delphi
