True, you can use any compiler or even assembler that you want which produces X86 code. But I like Delphi, with D7/Win7 as my platform of choice.

It will need a video camera, speaker and mike I/O, so perhaps Linux can provide those drivers and device supports. It will also need a WiFi N port to connect with a local network. Has anyone dug deep enough into the details of that configuration to know if it would be a feasible project? I'm looking at an embedded X86 with WiFi interface and about 8 MB of flash memory to hold the code. 2MB of RAM is supplied, but it will probably need more than that to handle the video and audio streams.
