Just one more comment.

DBISAM will allow you to create your application quickly in the manner you
are used to as well as allowing you to add Queries where and when you feel
appropriate. This will give you an opportunity to both deliver, plus expand
your knowledge and the abilities of your application.

I'd recommend DBISAM.
