Quite so. For reference, a list-member has kindly checked our main app on a Win8 tablet and reported no issues thus far (even the touch side worked well enough it seems). So perhaps Win8 didn't add any noticeable extra fishhooks in this area. Early days perhaps, but that's an encouraging start. As an aside, I've just noticed that AMD and Bluestack have partnered up to bring Android-app compatibility to AMD-based Win8 devices (more optimised than what's already directly offered by Bluestack on Intel based ones): http://www.mobilenapps.com/articles/4501/20120930/amd-bluestacks-team-up-spike-window s-8.htm That kind of app availability certainly makes it more likely that Win8 tablets will fly in our future plans <g>. > Its not helped that the main offender against this noble idea of > separation of programs and data folders is Microsoft itself - as they > put their MS SQL databases under program files. Ahem, yes. cheers, peter _______________________________________________ NZ Borland Developers Group - Delphi mailing list Post: [email protected] Admin: http://delphi.org.nz/mailman/listinfo/delphi Unsubscribe: send an email to [email protected] with Subject: unsubscribe
