I would agree. Don't do VB.net, move to C#. We do Delphi and C# and we basically learnt C# on the job writing code for a specific project making use of the plenty of good stuff on the net about how to do "stuff" in C#. The transition from Delphi to C# is quite straight forward if not similar (funnily enough). Once we learnt what we thought was enough we attended a C# course to see what we did wrong :-)
