TMS software also has a excel grid component - shareware from memory, but very good. It did cover more stuff than the Axolot stuff which from memory has no visual interface.

Basic requirements are to Read XL files, be able to handle merged cells and possibly be Kylix compatible. We have tried DeveloperExpress Spreadsheet, and we may be able to get it to work, but it doesn't support specifying the number of decimal places in a cell. (Excel seems to do this by making a custom format for the number of DPs... ExpressSPread does not support custom formats). We have tried FormulaOne, version 5... It is quite good, but doesn't support merged cells. Version 6 is better but has quite a pricy licensing scheme (per client as well as per developer) and is at the end of its life cycle. Anyone know or use anything else that might do the job. Anyone had any experience embedding Excel (would need to remove menus and toolbars, just want to use the spreadsheet behaviour). Or maybe we can somehow embed OpenOffice??? Any info appreciated.
