Thanks Myles,

Theree are two problems, when I enter the Borland Site it always recognioses
me as me.

And if that is not important, this fellow lives some 500km (300 miles) away
from where I am.

Can he use a registration done by me until his family goes on the internet?

=========

You could register for him, but you have to start the registration process
on his machine. This generates the key for you to submit to the BDN, and
then you can take the returned key file back to his machine.

Myles.

Subject: [DUG] registering Delphi 7 personal

A friends young son who is a bit of a genius has been put on a programme at
schoolk where he has a tutor.

The tutor intorduced him to Delphi on the school machines.

They do not have the internet at home, and I sent him Delphi 7 personal on
disk. Then I went to register it for him.

But Borland has me as a community member, so I can not do a registration for
him personally for the activation key etc.

Does it matter that i;ve registered again, and can I give him the activation
file that came back by email on disk? etc etc ..
Any one struck this before?

Paul
