You as you is not an issue. You need to use the register by web option that asks for the key supplied by Delphi itself. He will have to run delphi to get the key and phone you to tell you it's value. Once you have the key file, you will have to send it to him on disk in the mail.
We always have to register via the web, as the registration process cannot use our firewall proxy settings. This generates the key for you to submit to the BDN, and then you can take the returned key file back to his machine. The tutor intorduced him to Delphi on the school machines. They do not have the internet at home, and I sent him Delphi 7 personal on disk. Then I went to register it for him. But Borland has me as a community member, so I can not do a registration for him personally for the activation key etc. Does it matter that i;ve registered again, and can I give him the activation file that came back by email on disk? etc etc ..
