Hi

Thanks for help suggested, unfortunately still having problems, although it is a deeper problem.

We are using a console app residing on a different machine to run 1 or more batch files to talk to an existing (legacy sys) in Foxpro residing on a Unix box. What I need to try and do is find out when batch files are finished running, unfortunately the console app closes before the batch files are finished running (as soon as they are called), so the problem is not as simple as previously thought.

Some of the other ways thought about are
use a Stop file
Use the last batch file to invoke a app that can make a com call to main app server
both of these do not quite get the message back when and where or seem a messy solution. Anybody have any other ideas??

Thanks in Advance
