It might be simpler to keep the URL out of the exe and have it somewhere else in the install for the exe to refer to?  Candidates are a DLL, resource file, file (text or binary).  I'd probably go for a registry entry added into Inno Setup.  Keep the exe the same and just have different Inno sets for each distributor.

Subject: [DUG] Customised demos

I sell my software over the internet and some other companies want to do the same and become distributors or affiliates and sell from their website.  The problem they have is that the trial software mentions my website where to purchase.  I've done 1 or 2 customised demos using compiler defines to display a different website but there could be dozens in the future and this will get too time consuming compiling multiple demos.

I use Inno Setup to generate the install.

Ideally, I would like a system where I type in a website URL and it generates an EXE with this website used in the necessary places.  Any opinions as to the best way to go about this?

Cheers,
Ross.
