Well. We got so chewed up and spat out with D2005 that we stayed with D7. I have heard from people that ’06 version is on the whole more stable and actually a useable product. Now its unlikely we’ll consider upgrading until we complete this project fully in Delphi 7, because its doing the job just fine.

 

I’m still not really convinced that ’06 has any added value if I am pure win32, except for a nicer ide.

 

But if I was on a boat and drunk, who knows what might be considered ;) I was being very positive in my suggestion :D

 

I’d be interested in going to a DUG meeting, more to catch up with people and have a drink, than to learn anything. My real curiosity is this: How many active Delphi developers are there in Auckland/ NZ. If it is only those on the DUG then lets agree that Delphi is dead in NZ when it comes to %.

I think that the next time you should hire a quick cat for a 2 hour spin in the afternoon with

Food & drinks of course. If you get some people drunk you might even sell some on the day :D
