To add to that last bit. I think any true DUG improvement scheme must then focus on bringing those people into the flock, or working out why they are not interested.

DUG should perhaps be renamed BUG, (Borland user group) and not focus so much on the issues of Delphi specifically, but software improvement in general.

 

And then when I say I have a shitload of BUGs in my email I won’t be as concerned as I am with bugs in the mail now.

I’d be interested in going to a DUG meeting, more to catch up with people and have a drink, than to learn anything. My real curiosity is this: How many active Delphi developers are there in Auckland/ NZ. If it is only those on the DUG then lets agree that Delphi is dead in NZ when it comes to %.
