Oh. I thought were going to create submenu items under file->export.
So it would look like
file->export->png
file->export->pdf
file->export->ps
Etc....
That would be better still, the same applies to the underlying code
needing a single array of suffixes with a switch to the different
loading procedures (sync/async) etc.
