"Tuplet" includes any ratio change, such as duplets, quintuplets etc. You need a Start Triplet marker before and and End one after the notes that are to be tripletized. The one I use mostly is the Toggle Triplet one, which alternates inserting start triplet and end triplet markers. > > 2) In tablature, how are the strings numbered? I don't know what LilyPond's default is :( It will be in LilyPond's docs though. > > 3) In tablature, the \string number directives appear to be applying to the > note BEFORE it. So, if I have a note b followed by note c, and I put in a > directive \3 What is the command you are using to "put in the directive \3"? If it is one created by yourself, look to see if you have put the LilyPond in the prefix or postfix field, and if it is a Note directive or a Chord directive. If not right click on the menu item and choose help to find the name of the command.
