> 1) How do I notate a triplet? Additionaly to what Richard says I prefer to insert a single note value of the complete duration first and then split it to a triplet and shift the members up and down. This is a few klicks more, but its also no fiddling with the small tuplet markers.
This can be done via Notes/Rest -> Split Chord. You get a field where you can insert a number. In composer mode you can do it the keyboard way by pressing Alt+s. Denemo remains silent afterwards for now (I hope we will get a help-toolbar in the future), it expects a number, in your case 3. If you press Space after Alt+s you get the help dialog again. If you press Enter after Alt+s you map the number keys permanently to splitting. [3] will directly split into a tuplet. Press [Esc] to return to normal note insert. This key-system is also in place for Fingerings [alt+f], Voice-Presets [alt+v] and in the next version (or current pre-installer/GIT) for common time-signatures [alt+t] and barlines [alt+b].
