Something is broken then, I can guess what. There is a fancy mechanism that allows you to create a list of dynamics that you actually use, so that you don't have to select from such a long list (makes a difference if you are using a keyboard and don't want to arrow down to p or f which are the only ones that occur in early Baroque scores). I'll try and test for this bug (which I have never seen I must confess). Meanwhile, do you have a terminal up? Is there a message in the terminal when you invoke Ctrl-D???
