Follow-up Comment #3:
I have been come up against the lack of this recently. When entering the
rhythm of music when a series of quarter notes is syncompated the ones that
cross the barlines are notated as two tied eighth notes. It would ne nice to
be able to type a 1/4 note for this. I can't see why this should just be a
preference though.
