It sounds like Denemo is looking in the wrong place for LilyPond and not finding it. I've opened it and typeset it without problem, and as you say, the LilyPond syntax it is generating is quite acceptable to the version of LilyPond that you ran outside of Denemo. So use Edit->Change Preferences->Externals and see what is in the LilyPond box. I think on Windows, by default, it has the full path to the LilyPond executable (which for these pre-built versions of the program is in the same folder as denemo.exe the actual Denemo executable). Maybe there is a way to get into this situation: 1) you unpack and run a zip version 2) you install an installer version or a zip version in another folder perhaps with "Keep shortcuts etc" yes 3) you delete the first version Maybe something like this will leave your preference pointing to the now-deleted zip version? I've submitted a bug report for this. Let me know if you have a problem setting LilyPond up for Denemo.
