I misunderstood.
I assumed the quote meant that the pdf became named by the tagline.
I have just set a tagline, and renamed the score by saving it as the new
name, of course, and the pdf is still the (new)
filename_DefaultScoreLayout.pdf.
which is fine; just thought I might have found a way of automatically
naming pdfs!

This is a different topic - if you have not set a tagline in a Denemo
score
then every time you open it it sets the tagline to the filename and
current
date. If you have set it, then it stays as what you have set, even if
you
change the file name which you are storing it in.
Aha! so that is what the tagline does! :-)
