Follow-up Comment #1:
The print view window's position was not recorded in any way - on re-showing
it always defaulted to some position decided by the windows system. I've
arranged to intercept the configure-event signal and note the new window
position and restore that on showing the window. This does cause a little
slowness in re-drawing the window when it is made bigger, but I guess we can
live with that.
