I managed to open and include the files in Denemo. In Denemo comes the
same error as you described from Frescobaldi(attached)

Oh, I should have said - it would alternatively be quite possible to go
in the other direction - use Denemo to create the notes that need to go
in your score and then export them to LilyPond format - exporting into
a file containing your template LilyPond code.
