But was it working?  My point was that rotating /var/log/denyhosts might 
cause DH to stop logging (spelling? double g or not?).  Scratch that, I 
just reviewed your config and you are using syslog, so rotating the log 
doesn't affect DH, syslog might need a HUP (at least under Solaris it does).

newsyslog is the log rotator?

I just realized that I'm doing overkill, under Gentoo Linux I'm 
restarting DH when the log rotates... but I'm also using syslog.
