Hi DH'ers,

Been using DenyHosts a while, but new to this mailing list.

On an Ubuntu 12.04 LTS server system, where I'm running DenyHosts, I
have several users who are logging in from their work machines where
they have a key-pair. They use the public key for other machines, but
not the one I manage.

I have left the RESET_ON_SUCCESS parameter in its default state of NO

So when they log in, because they don't have their pubkey installed on
MY server, but they DO have a key-pair on their machine, I get the
following sequence in my /var/log/auth.log

sshd[<pid>]: Failed publickey for <valid-user> from <IP> ...
sshd[<pid>]: Accepted password for <valid-user> ...
sshd[<pid>]: pam_unix (sshd:session): session opened for <valid-user>

etc. etc.

My second question is, does DenyHosts count those failed publickey
attempts towards a ban-limit?

Cheers,
Dave E.
