It changes the description in the "Jars" section, which makes snapshots available for download. I just extracted the latest snapshot (incubating-derby-snapshot-56458.tar.gz) and it doesn't have that frameworks subdirectory.
Have you had a chance to looks at the release candidate yet? --I haven't downloaded it yet. Once a release gets approved, maybe we should think about adding a new section for approved releases that describes the release structure? Or in a separate page? or what might be the best way to do this? -jean
