Myrna van Lunteren commented on DERBY-6076:
-------------------------------------------

My browser (firefox) doesn't show broken links, it shows:
[PARENTDIR] Parent Directory
[DIR] 10.0/
[DIR] 10.1/
etc.

Perhaps those are "common" pictures?
If I look at the 'Page Source' for the page you indicated, my browser thinks it
looks like this:
------------------------------------------------
<h1>Index of /derby/docs</h1>
<pre><img src="/icons/blank.gif" alt="Icon "> <a href="?C=N;O=D">Name</a>
             <a href="?C=M;O=A">Last modified</a> <a
href="?C=S;O=A">Size</a>  <a href="?C=D;O=A">Description</a><hr><img
src="/icons/back.gif" alt="[PARENTDIR]"> <a href="/derby/">Parent Directory</a>
                            -
<img src="/icons/folder.gif" alt="[DIR]"> <a href="10.0/">10.0/</a>
      2013-01-24 13:53 -
<img src="/icons/folder.gif" alt="[DIR]"> <a href="10.1/">10.1/</a>
      2012-12-25 01:02 -
....
------------------------------------------------

There is no source for this page, so I'm not sure how this works. Does anyone
know?

> Folder.gif icon missing from derby documentation website

>
> Key: DERBY-6076
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DERBY-6076
> Project: Derby
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: Documentation
> Affects Versions: 10.9.1.0
> Reporter: Bryan Pendleton
> Priority: Minor
>
> When I go to:
> my browser displays "broken icon" symbols for the "icons/folder.gif" icon
> that's displayed next to each icon.
> I think this is a new problem; last time I visited this URL (a few weeks
> ago?) I don't recall seeing this problem.
> It appears to affect all the doc version (10.8, 10.7, etc.)
> Note also that if I provide the index.html on the URL, as in
> http://db.apache.org/derby/docs/10.9/ref/index.html
> then the docs themselves are displayed correctly.
> Perhaps this is part of the basic web server configuration, and not part of
> the Derby documentation proper, and indicates that something in the web
> server itself has recently been re-configured?
