Bryan Pendleton commented on DERBY-6257:
----------------------------------------
Thanks Knut! I see that I was looking in completely the wrong part of things,
as I was trying to modify the build outputs, which are in a separate part of
the repository entirely, using an svn:externals definition.
It appears that the website modification process was changed in DERBY-6007,
but I'm not sure we've updated our various internal notes and checklists
completely.
In particular, it appears that http://db.apache.org/derby/papers/derby_web.html
is pretty out of date, as it doesn't mention any of the DERBY-6007 work.
I guess that I have a couple questions:
1) Do I modify both src/documentation/content/xdocs/dev/derby_source.xml
and build/site/dev/derby_source.html myself? Or do I just update the file
under src/documentation, and somebody on the 'infra' team takes care of
updating the file in
https://svn.apache.org/repos/infra/websites/production/db/content/derby/?
2) If the answer is: I should modify both files, do I modify both files with a
single
svn commit? Or do I have to use two different commits?
3) If the answer is "two different commits", does it matter what order I do
them in?
I guess I'm kind of confused about the svn:externals stuff...
Rick, can you help me out here?
