The output shown in the Getting Started manual
(http://db.apache.org/derby/docs/10.11/getstart/twwdactivity4.html) shows that
the security manager is installed:
java -jar $DERBY_HOME/lib/derbyrun.jar server start
Fri Sep 14 09:55:23 EDT 2012 : Security
manager installed using the Basic server
security policy.
The NetworkServerControl javadoc doesn't mention this, nor does the
documentation of the derby.drda.startNetworkServerProperty property in the
Admin Guide.
The Security Guide barely mentions this, in the topic "Configuring Java
security".
The information may be worth adding in the places the reporter suggests.
