There are warnings and errors on all the docs, and I filed issues on them last
May. That particular one is DERBY-2627. Since they do not result in major
problems with the docs, I guess they have not been considered a high priority
to fix. The only problem that results from that kind of warning is that some
cross-references don't work in the PDF, though they work fine in the HTML.
I said in the issue that all the "Unresolved id reference" warnings involved
xrefs to tables, but that is not actually the case. Sometimes they are xrefs to
other elements.
Did you really not see them before? They started showing up for me suddenly
too, last spring, and I never figured out why.
