I just confirmed that specifying this property gets reflected in
service.properties (I tried 64 and 128 in
conjunction with the Blowfish algorithm, for the default, DES, I got an error
if I used anything but 64),
so it *is* active. I don't know the answer to your question, Kim. It would be
nice if someone who knows about
(Derby) encryption could help clarify this.
