Kim Haase commented on DERBY-2389:
----------------------------------
I'm glad you noticed this, Dag, because I was wondering about my solution to
this problem.
There is a six-page section called "Working with Derby properties" that is
mainly conceptual and task-oriented, rather than reference. I didn't want to
move it all into the Reference Manual because the Reference Manual is not
really for conceptual and how-to information -- I copied over the most basic
information (scope) that's needed to understand the "Derby properties" topic
and left the rest in the Tuning Guide. But I'm not sure it belongs in the
Tuning Guide either. It might make more sense to put it in part 2 of the Admin
Guide, along with the other tasks there.
What do you think?
