Unfortunately, I think in those cases you will have some redundancy, but I do agree that the listing of the file extensions at the end ise a bit much. The second set of parenthesis should be removed. As a programmer, I know the star is technically important; with that said, I think most users naturally understand that the extension is placed at the end of a file (and LibreO codebase knows that too). Therefore, I would recommend the following to reduce redundancy:
