Hi Daniel, hi Jared, I'm having a LibreOffice 3.3.1 on Ubuntu with Gnome specific file dialogs - it only states "ODT Text Document (.odt)".
Do you use Windows? If yes, then it might relate to how the entries of this drop-down are created by the operating system: the first string (see above) being the one by LibO, the second part added by Windows.
