Maybe, but how would you feel if I gave out your home or cell phone
number to some unknown (to you) third-party without your permission?
I don't pass on other's personal information without clearing it with
them first. In particular I'm thinking of a use case where the Cosmo
server is a hosted service not managed by the person or organization
whose calendar is being shared.
furthermore, it's the sharer's chandler sending notifications,
not the server.
I may have misunderstood, but several of the previous suggestions
mentioned Scooby/Cosmo sending out emails. If the invitation to share
comes addressed from me, then I don't think it's a problem. Also, if
it's not addressed from me, then whitelist filters may block the
sharing requests.
