Hi,

With this approach the stampness of a message is determined by the user's choice of IMAP folder (Tasks, Events, etc).

The date parsing logic is certainly needed to parse Event emails for instance and determine the duration of the event.
Actually, the parsing logic will be very welcomed for the pre sort in folders to be of any use. Without it, emails will be stamped as events (when dropped in the appropriate folder) but which date/time/duration are we going to use? Likely, some sort of default based on the time the email was received or sent. That's not too bad but finding the date/time/duration in the text will be better.

Of course, we'll also have to take into account the presence of ics/ical attached to the email and give it a higher prio if present. Food for thoughts.

Cheers,
