For me, it would depend on what day of the week it happens to be. If it's Friday or Saturday, I think of Tuesday as being this past Tuesday. If it's Sunday, I think of Tuesday as the upcoming Tuesday. I agree that probably everyone has a different interpretation. I like the suggestion of having Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow only to avoid the confusion. On Sep 25, 2006, at 9:08 AM, Mimi Yin wrote: Forwarding a bug Priscilla logged to the design list for more discussion.
The issue is how to treat proper nouns for dates in the Date column of the Dashboard.
If today is Friday and you see Tuesday in the Date column for an item in the Dashboard, do you think next Tuesday? or this past Tuesday in the same calendar week?
It probably depends on context.
Some options 1 We could avoid confusion altogether and get rid of proper nouns for dates except for Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow 2 We could distinguish between Tuesday and Next Tuesday. Although if you didn't have a Next Tuesday in the view, you might still be confused about Tuesday.

Created an attachment (id=2406) Screenshot of the dashboard with Tuesday as LAST Tuesday.
Here is a screenshot where Tuesday, was really LAST Tuesday. And when I think of the day of the week spelled out for me, I'm usually thinking of the week ahead. Does that make sense?
