I'm not sure how much you'll use the desktop client ;) but recurring
anytime event-tasks should currently work like this in Chandler:

They'll show up in your preview area (just above the minicalendar, at
the bottom left), in a list with all your events for that day, having
more items here shouldn't be too obtrusive, I don't think.

In the Calendar, they'll show up in the all day area, but the all day
area doesn't automatically expand to show all all-day events.

Does that seem usable?
