Okay, not a huge deal for Preview. I'm trying out some designs that
would allow the user to sign-up in a pop-up, thereby reducing the
likelihood that they will have clicked away from the shared
collection when they come back to cosmo to confirm their new account.

Priss and I are also rethinking the "Subscribe with Chandler" dialog.
I realized that we can't 'rename' the share before the user
subscribes to the collection in Chandler, because renaming it in
Cosmo won't affect the name the user sees in Chandler. It may also
feel weird to the user that clicking on "Subscribe with Chandler" is
the only way to access URLs and How-to pages for subscribing with
iCal and as a Feed.

we could potentially construct the activation url so that it redirects
the user to the collection they originally tried to preview ... but
the easiest thing to do would be what you described.
