New Threads:

Priscilla sent out a summary on how timezones will work in the Cosmo UI. Highlights... + If you are not logged in to Cosmo, the view of the calendar canvas will be in floating time. Selecting an item will display any timezone details in the detail view.
+ One the user logs in, they can turn on timezones.
+ If they don't turn on timezones they see the same thing as the "not logged in" user. + When timezones are turned on the user can select a timezone from the list and events will get adjusted on the canvas accordingly. Floating is one of the options as well. + With timezones turned on, the user can also specify the timezone for a particular event using the timezone picker in the detail view. http://lists.osafoundation.org/pipermail/design/2006-November/ 005751.html

Eric Harg forwarded a new thread to the list to inquire about Support for Nuxeo's CPSSharedCalendar. He had been trying out Chandler and ran into some interoperability issues linking to their content management system and their calendar server (CPSSharedCalendar). Eric ran into a sharing zanshin error. + Philippe logged a bug and reposted this thread to the dev list since it's a more appropriate list for the discussion. + Morgen: since the URL they are using doesn't end in .ics Chandler probably doesn't recognize it's subscribing to an ics share. He suggested Eric append something to the URL. Some of this should get resolved as a result of the new sharing format work. http://lists.osafoundation.org/pipermail/design/2006-November/ 005746.html

Philippe sent out his 2cents on performance scenarios.
+ He added quitting Chandler to the list.
+ He also felt there were groups of actions that required different levels of speed (instant feedback vs actions where we could tolerate non-instant response vs stuff that could be a bit slower. http://lists.osafoundation.org/pipermail/design/2006-November/ 005759.html

Yet another mockup for the Cosmo 0.6 login workflows - Magic URL visual design review. Mimi added a more internationalization-friendly version. http://lists.osafoundation.org/pipermail/design/2006-November/ 005760.html

Continued Discussions:

The discussions continued around the placement of links for the Cosmo admin and file browser UI in the Login-related workflows update thread. The recap is that we have not come to a consensus on the right design. Sheila forwarded a message to the list today listing out the requirements. Once we agree on the raw requirements we can evaluate the solutions being proposed. http://lists.osafoundation.org/pipermail/design/2006-November/ 005748.html

Other Stuff:

Philippe forwarded a link to really neat Keyboard design.
