ahh okay, so there's no explicit admin account set-up, even for the
original person setting snarf...
do filebrowsers who get flagged as admins need to be able to choose
between going directly to the homedir browser versus going directly
to the user list page?

i like this, except as noted below.

For admin accounts (options below are checked by default):
[x] Provide access to the user list page from Cosmo PIM*
[x] When I login, take me directly to the user list page
if the user is signing up for an account, then he is by definition not
an admin. another admin has to set a flag on the new account. so these
options don't make any sense on the signup page.
can we make these show up on an interstitial post-login page the first
time somebody logs in with an admin account? in other words
1) user signs up for his account
2) user logs in and behaves as a cc or fb
3) an admin flags the new account as admin
4) user logs in and gets prompted for admin prefs
5) user goes to pim or user admin as per the pref he just set
Questions
1. Is this feasible? Is it 1-2 days of work? or More than 5 days?
assuming we persist these choices with cookies rather than in the
database, this seems like a pretty trivial amount of work.
2. Does this address people's concerns?
yes.
3. If you turn on time zones in Cosmo? does that automatically
turn on time
zones in Chandler? Does the same time zone get applied?
no it doesn't automatically turn on time zones in chandler.
5. We need to find a better word for Cosmo PIM, should this be a
part of the
branding exercise?
it probably should be part of branding, but i don't know anything
about how that's going or when we might get useful results out of it.
