Perhaps I misunderstand, but is this another dialog box for subscribe to Chandler? Or does it take you to the Collection Details and defaults to 'Chandler' in the drop down?

Oh good point, yes, we could re-use the Collection details dialog and default to Chandler.

Small note, google calendar has the subscription URLs as hyperlinks and they're still able to run calendar as beta.

Don't you always click on google calendar subscription URLs? I wasn't able to find a place in their UI where you would copy and paste a URL

Priss asked me to define how the Subscribe pulldown would work as well, given the new design for the Collection details dialog.

Note: Waiting for mde to comment on the [Copy to Clipboard] feature.

Subscribe with:
| Chandler |v|
| iCal 2x
| Feed Reader
| Download calendar and tasks

What happens:

1. Subscribe with Chandler --> Dialog pops-up to display the following -
=====
Collection name: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (non-editable)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Copy and Paste this URL to the Collection>>Subscribe... menu item in Chandler:
URL: [xxxxxxxxxxxxx] [Copy to Clipboard] [Help]

Don't have Chandler? [Learn more] [Download]
=====

2. Subscribe with iCal 2x --> Auto-launches iCal if you're on a Mac; otherwise On Windows / Linux, OR if auto-launch fails on the Mac: The browser will pop up a list of apps for the user to choose from or give the user the option to save the file to their desktop.*

3. Subscribe with Feed reader --> Attempts to Auto-launch feed reader; otherwise The browser will pop up a list of apps for the user to choose from or give the user the option to save the filer to their desktop.*

4. Download calendar and tasks --> Downloads .ics file to Desktop

*BCM: What format will the file be saved in on the desktop?

Is this clear?

Mimi
