Do we want to say Apple iCal 2.x to be more explicit?
Yes that is correct. Apple iCal 2.x
=====
Collection name: [xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] [Link icon - mouse-over: 'link
to this collection'] -(name of collection is not editable if the
user is not logged in.)
I think you mean that the name of the collection is not editable if
the user has not subscribed to the collection. The user may be
logged in, but still in 'preview mode', looking at the collection
before they've subscribed to it.
Yes that is correct. If the user is logged in and has not subscribed
to the collection and is viewing in 'Preview mode' (though we need
use another term the 'Preview mode'), then the collection name is not
editable.
Subscribe with iCal 2.x --> Collection Details dialog prompts,
default to iCal 2.x in the drop down menu -
Copy and Paste this URL to iCal 2x >>Subscribe... menu item in iCal:
URL: [Subscription URL in text (not hyper-linked)] [Help]
I think you mean:
Copy and Paste this URL to the Calendar>>Subscribe...menu in Apple
iCal.
Yes perhaps for all of the items listed in the drop down menu we
should work on wordsmithing the instructions. In addition, to have
better instructions when the user clicks on the help icon.
Other --> Collection Details dialog prompts, default to 'Other…'
in the drop down menu -
Find out which protocols your application supports (ie. Evolution,
Sunbird) and subscribe with the appropriate URL:
CalDAV: [xxxxxxxxxxxxx]
WebCal: [xxxxxxxxxxxxx]
Atom: [xxxxxxxxxxxxx]
Do we need to list Evolution and Sunbird? I think the way it is
here, it looks like Evolution and Sunbird are protocols, as opposed
to applications?
Would it be better if I had rephrased it as: "Find out which
protocols your application (ie. Evolution, Sunbird) supports and
subscribe with the appropriate URL:" Once again we can work on
wordsmithing the instructions. It should not be a huge change for
development.
Also, I think we don't need Atom here because this URL is already
available under the Subscribe with Feed Reader option?
Let's just leave it in for now. Adding one more URL is not going to
confuse the advance users who decide to select 'other' in the drop
down menu. For those who even understand what 'protocols' mean may
want to see it because we didn't list out the name of *their*
favorite feed reader. ;)
