Slowly catching up....

New Threads:

In her post Who's Triage Status is it anyway? Mimi describes some of the complexities around triage status and tracking whether or not users have seen an item, processed the item and the actual status. Mimi provides an example in the case when a user is sharing a task list and a non-sharing scenario. Mimi then summarizes a proposal to deal with these issues. + Rather than summarize all the related conversation I am going to wait for Mimi to send out a final proposal for handling triage status. Now that we have fixed recurring events in the table view, this has brought up some further modifications and likely changes some of the proposal Mimi has described above. We are holding a design session on Tues Jan 30th to discuss and will follow-up with an email to the design list.

Priscilla sent out a summary of Supported browsers for Cosmo in the Preview timeframe. + Matthew made a note about clarifying which versions of Firefox we support. He also suggested we draft a policy for handling older browsers.
+ I think this should be part of the Preview documentation.

+ BCM suggested a separate page with instructions for the server administrator to setup Cosmo for the first time.

Bryan Stearns who is working on the Chandler dashboard sent out summary for Date column priorities, and reminder column interaction to check with Mimi that he is working on stuff in the right order. He also had some specific questions about a couple of bugs in particular.
+ Mimi responded, confirming the order of prioritization.

Hank posted a mail asking if there was a way to view collections in the order of creation/modification date. + Mimi responded that we do store these attributes but currently do not have the UI to sort and resort the sidebar in different ways. She also asked him to elaborate on a specific use case for this feature. + Hank cited an example from previous experience working on a pim, it was popular feature to see the latest stuff you had been working on.

Philippe posted an email about the use of a new Dogfoodable flag in bugzilla. This will keep track of all problems that are blocking dogfooders and let's us know how far we are from the "dogfoodable" state at any time. + Both Sheila and Katie clarified that this flag will be used sparingly AND does effect the relative priority of these bugs. We consider any blockers for people's ability to dogfood a barrier to reaching Preview and must be addressed in parallel with ongoing feature work by any non-critical path resources available to look at these problems.

There were numerous responses to Priscilla's Update on the Cosmo 0.6 spec round two. The most significant clarification to note... + We will NO longer have an option in the Advanced Settings dialog for a user to optional chose to have the account browser view appear when they automatically log in. + For Preview, we will simply have a settings checkbox that has the account browser link appear in the top right section of the browser.

Another response to preview email Update on Cosmo 0.6 spec. Mimi lists some modifications to a number of Cosmo dialogs so they are consistent in style.
