I'd still prefer using a command key combination instead of a test plugin to show test menu items that are useful for debugging/testing, but not in the default Tools menu. Although I wouldn't include menu items that nobody uses or ones that take lots of space.

Another alternative I'd prefer to the test plugin is including the extra items if Chandler is run with non optimized (e.g. __debug-- == True) in either the release or debug build.
