Meaning the same download would work on both PPC and Intel Macs?
Yes. The costs are:
- The download would be close to a factor of 2 bigger
- There's a potentially large amount of work to jigger the build
system to create universal binaries.
Would this solve the Dump and Reload problem as well?
No: that's a result of the Berkeley DB "file format" being different
on different processors.

Most Mactintosh applications ship universal binaries to avoid this

I'm concerned about our usage of PPC versus Intel to
differentiate between the different Chandler builds users need to
download. A few questions come to mind:
1. Do users know that PPC versus Intel are essentially 2
different platforms?
2. Are users familiar with the terminology: PPC versus Intel?
Are there other words we can use instead of PPC versus Intel?
MacBook versus iBook and and PowerBook
...But what about desktop machines?
Any ideas?
